Bubble Ball Cowl

Designed by the wonderful Arwen, this beautiful cowl really compliments the yarn. The pattern uses 1 ball of Bubble Ball yarn by Be Sweet (we just love Be Sweet!) and a pair of size US 4 needles. It's knit flat while gently sliding the felt balls across the yarn throughout the cowl until they're all used up. In the end we have a one of a kind cowl. I think these would make great Christmas gifts!
Pattern is available on Ravelry or in the shop!

A super soft 100% handspun and hand dyed merino with 25 felted balls strung on the yarn.

We used color Wild Berries

I love the mix of garter stitch and felt balls.

Pub Knitting!

A little late with the pics, but our October Pub Knitting night was so much fun!
It's great to see familiar and new faces. We had a lot of fun giving away Halloween themed yarns during our raffle and hope everyone enjoys the yarn and little sock pattern ornament we gave out. We've made quite a few of them just to hang around the shop because they're so cute.
The pics are a little dark, but it is a pub!

We took up the big table and then some...

Hairy Scary!

We love Halloween and have recently just finished Spider from the book Amigurumi Knits by Hansi Singh. He's a wonderful design that looks perfect in the window. We made him extra big using Cascade Yarns Magnum, a little La Gran Mohair in the legs to make him hairy and size 11 needles.

There's even a jackalope in this book!

He's kinda cute for a creepy crawly spider.

Happy Halloween!

Magic Cowl

This Magic Cowl is a cinch to knit and looks so one-of-a-kind, people will stop you on the street! As you knit this, the yarn changes from ribbon to sparkly mohair to boucle to big nubs and in some skeins, beads! The hand dyed colors blend together beautifully and change along with the texture. We used 1 skein of Be Sweet's Magic Ball and a pair of 24" circular US 10.5 and 11 needles. This is a free pattern with the purchase of the yarn.

The yarn comes from Be Sweet, a wonderful company that works with job creation programs to give artisans the confidence and the means to support themselves and their families in otherwise economically depressed regions.
Be Sweet’s mission; to bring socially and environmentally friendly products to fashionable consumers that evoke an individual style and help support community development around the world.
We can back that!

The cowl looks gorgeous worn long like a necklace or wrapped around your neck twice to keep you warm and stylish.

Each ball is unique. Lovely jewel toned colors.
