Please join us Thursday, April 16th 6:30 – 8:30pm at the Yarn Garden, for a food drive to benefit the Oregon Food Bank. Due to the decline in the economy, home foreclosures, and job losses we are asking for your help. Bring a can of food, your current knitting or crochet project for show and tell and we will provide the refreshments. If you would like to donate but can't come on Thursday evening, you can drop off your donations during store hours between now and April 19th.
Here is the list of Most Wanted Foods:
canned meats (i.e., tuna, chicken, salmon)
canned and boxed meals (i.e. soup, chili, stew, macaroni and cheese)
canned or dried beans and peas (i.e., black, pinto, lentils)
pasta
rice
cereal
canned fruits
100% fruit juice (canned, plastic or boxed)
cooking oil
* In light of the recent peanut butter recall, please check the updated FDA recall list before donating products containing peanut butter.
