Grab your knitting or crochet project and join us at the Barley Mill at SE 17th and Hawthorne, this Friday, February 19th from 7-10pm. Everyone attending will receive a ticket when they arrive for a drawing to be held at 9:30pm (must be present to win). My sister, Linda, and I ate lunch there once a week for years and when I lived down the street, I would have dinner there three or four times a week. Several people have asked for my Barley Mill favorites so here they are: Hawthorne Chop Salad, Black & Tan Brownie (great for sharing; one desert, four or five spoons), Moroccan Coffee (my cold weather drink of choice), Ruby Ale, their Greyhound (best I have ever had) with vodka and fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, and of course the fantastic staff. - Jo "
