Portland Yarn Crawl Starts Tomorrow!

Promotions and Specials:
Yarn Garden will be handing out a welcome goodie for every Yarn Crawl participant that signs in at the store. Remember to bring your stamp card. If you don’t have one we will happily start one for you. We will stamp any non-sale purchase of yarn, needles, accessories and patterns on your card. When your card is filled you will receive a $25 gift card to spend on anything in the store of your choosing. Yarn Garden has changed the date of it’s “spring cleaning” to coincide with the Portland Yarn Crawl so we will have lots of sale yarn on the floor ranging from 20 to 75% off for this festive occasion. We will also give each signee a ticket for our daily drawing (need not be present to win) that will take place at the close of each day. We will notify each winner by phone. When you need a break, head to our last room for a complimentary cup of coffee or tea and go through our free pattern and magazine box and discover some treasure to take home!

When you have shopped ‘til you dropped and are hungry and tired, head up Hawthorne to SE 17th to the Barley Mill, McMenamins’ oldest pub and the place that hosts Yarn Garden’s Pub Knitting. We wanted everyone participating in the Crawl to get a peek into our Pub Knitting event. We’ve let the fun Barley Mill staff know to expect a horde of fiber fanatics for their Happy Hour, 3:00-6:00pm. When you walk through their door you’ll know you’re not in Kansas anymore, welcome to the 60’s. Bring along your knit or crochet project, relax, eat and drink. The Yarn Garden will be there to answer any questions you may have about Pub Knitting, Knit Nite and charity knitting for the community.
