Winter Warmth Transitions Project

We just sent off our first collection of donated hand knits and crochets for the 2010 Winter Warmth Transitions Project.
Our challenge is to create handmade items to provide warmth for the homeless and our goal is to collect 100 items for men and 60 for women to distribute at local shelters. This winter is going to be a cold one so every bit helps.
Today we sent out 127 hats, 14 scarves and 2 pairs of mittens! All donated by wonderful charity knitters and crocheters. Thank you!

Continue to drop your items off at Yarn Garden until our deadline, December 11th, 2010.
You can find patterns and yarn suggestions for the Winter Warmth Project here.

So many hats!

Scarves and scarves...
