Going Green, Recycled Yarns

We have found some yarns that love recycling as much as us! Here are some of the staff picks.

Plymouth, Refashion. This yarn is made from 100% recycled fibers. A blend of 68% Wool, 23% Nylon, 5% Cashmere, 4% Rayon
This is a bulky yarn on a 10 1/2 needle with 104 yds. This yarn is so soft, it will make the perfect winter hat, scarf and mittens!

Beautiful colors.

Berroco, Remix is also made from 100% recycled fibers and is machine washable. It's a blend of 30% Nylon, 27% Cotton, 24% Acrylic, 10% Silk, 9% Linen with 216 yds. Knits up as a worsted weight and has that nice tweed look.
We have the cutest model of a little girls dress hanging in the shop out of this yarn, pics soon to come!

Some of the colors. Love the Spice and the Butter colors.

K1C2, 2nd Time Cotton. This yarn is made from cotton remnants from the garment industry.
It's a worsted weight yarn, knitting up on a size 8 needle and is machine washable. It's a blend of 75% Cotton, 25% Acrylic.
The solid colors are gorgeous and the variegated colors are unique.

Some of my favorite colors.

We carry many more Eco yarns, organic wools and other recycled fibers made into yarn. Come in and check them out!
